Green Schools Image and Information Cards

Study the images of different green schools closely. Jot down notes with important information about the school’s features that might help it use less energy or have lower environmental impact.



Case Study 1: Kiowa County School, Greensburg, KS

  • PreK - 12th

  • Built after 2007 tornado destroyed the school.

Case Study 2: Redding School of Arts, Redding, California

  • K-8th

  • 573 Students

  • Net zero energy use

  • 600 seat open-air theater

  • Suburban area





Case Study 3: Wydown Middle School, Clayton, MO

  • 6th - 8th

  • Approximately 600 students

  • LEED Gold Certified

  • Solar panels 

  • Underground parking with green roof playing fields.

  • Suburban area
